CUSTOMER IS HAVING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS(LIGHTS ON RIGHT SIDE DO NOT WORK, BRAKE LIGHTS AND TAILGATE NOT WORKING) HE THINKS POSSIBLE SQUIRREL HAS CAUSED THE DAMAGE.
Technician Preformed extensive wiring repair on the rear wiring harness of the vehicle. The wiring harness responsible for rear tail lamps and trailer wiring. Technician replaced missing segments and insulated wiring with rodent repelent tape. After repair all lights were working, wires have good continuity and all circuits and fuses were checked in the vehicle. Technician did need to replace driver reverse light bulb. technician did find that the passenger rear shock absorber air line was chewed and we replaced the section of air line with a repair kit air line. System seems to be operating at this time. After repair technician cleared all codes in the vehicle and one came back regarding the rear hatch release switch having a short to ground. Technician got tailgate open and tested switch. it is short circuited internally and requires replacement. Spoke with and advised customer, approved repairs.
CUSTOMER REQUEST TO HAVE THE INSULATION REPLACED UNDER THE HOOD.

Found thermostat housing leak coolant. Will need to retest after replacement. Coolant system is full of sludge. Customer was made aware that the engine may have other issues including head leaking.
Replaced thermostat assembly, filled with coolant and checked operation. Engine is overheating and has engine noise. Most likely due to a failed head gasket and internal engine failure. Engine replacement will be needed. Unable to drive vehicle to check for any other issues.
