Checked codes. Per our pin-point test the issue is most likely due to a defective thermostat control valve causing the vehilce to think its overheating causing it to go into limp mode. Service advisor Tim checked with the local Subaru dealership and this repair should be covered under warranty. REMOVED CYLINDER HEADS AND REPLACED ALL HEAD GASKETS AND CYLINDER HEAD BOLTS Spoke with customer declined replacement of other systems at we typically recommend servicing while doing the head gasket such as the timing belt and water pump and machining of cylinder heads. Non machining of cylinder head gaskets could result in premature failure of cylinder head gaskets.
